Stranger Danger training is a must for all kids!

Brave 7-year-old struggled free after calling upon 'stranger danger' tactics she learned at school

Shocking CCTV footage has emerged of the moment a convicted killer allegedly tried to kidnap a young girl at a department store in the US.

Brittany Baxter, 7, was grabbed by the man at a Walmart in Bremen, Georgia yesterday.

But the sharp youngster managed to free herself from the hold of Thomas A Woods - on parole for voluntary manslaughter - after she put into practice ‘stranger danger ‘lessons she had learned at school.

Brave Brittany said: “I was looking at princess and fairy stuff.

“I tried to kick as hard as I could. You try to get away and tell somebody you trust.”

Her mum Georgeann added: “She said that a man had tried to kidnap her.

“He had picked her up his hand over her mouth, but she was kicking and screaming. He then dropped her and ran out.”

The security recording shows a man carrying Brittany away down an aisle before she struggles out of his grasp.

Local police were able to trace Woods’ car after the number plate was also captured on CCTV.

The 25-year-old reportedly denied the charge of attempted kidnapping as he spoke to reporters while being led into jail.

Police chief Keith Pesnell admitted that he had been shaken by the dramatic footage.

He said: “It's chilling to know how quick something can happen.

“It actually sent chills up me when I saw that.”
